Nesting

This particular piece comes from my observing a nest that was built in the hanging basket right outside our front door. I was fascinated by the routine that these parent robins had built right into their being. From the way they put the mud in the nest to the egg a day and then a hatchling a day - the ever tending care, the way the little mouths opened up those huge looking beaks looking for their nourishment and the way she protected them all the time. It was amazing to watch and I was inspired!
