The Sower

Based on the parable found in Matthew 13:1-9 & 18-23, this piece depicts the various "soils" or hearts that God's Word is seeded into and the growth that either happens or does not as a result of that. The seed is always the same, but the results are not. The same good news has great results in some lives when the Word is heard and allowed to bring growth and fruit, but poor results in others, where the Word may be heard, but it is not desirable to follow it, or the joy of following it wears off because of other distractions or conditions and it is not allowed to take deep roots and instead withers and dies.
